How long does the snow last in Crete?
In the lower situated regions of Crete, the snow will already start to melt from today. The highest Cretan mountains up to 2.456 metres will have snow until the summer months. It is always nice to see from the beach that there is still snow up in the higher mountains. Last year, the snow on the Psiloritis mountain had disappeared by the end of May. This year the snow will probably remain on the Psiloritis mountain for a month or longer.
